Foreign visitors and taking silver out

Foreign passengers may bring 100 g of silver ornaments in personal baggage without duty, on condition that they take them back when they leave. Gold and silver in any other form, such as coins, biscuits or pieces, are not allowed, and ornaments above the limit can be seized.

Gold and silver are on Nepal's list of goods passengers may not export, so do not plan to buy silver in Nepal to take abroad. Declare personal ornaments on arrival so you can take them out again.
